The steelwork elements once fabricated had to be shot blasted, galvanized to a marine grade, and then finished with a marine grade paint system. Given the difficulty in gaining access to the harbour wall, we brought all the steelwork elements in by boat and offloaded them onto the foreshore ready to install.

It took it’s time as we had to work with the tides, but we got there eventually. The end result was only achieved by support and understanding by the architect and project management, and lots of sweat and hard work by our crew.

Fair to say, the end result and the visual concept is uncanny.
